Our Mission

Vexergy is pioneering a new generation of AI-powered Subsea Mining Vehicles (SMVs) equipped with a state-of-the-art electromagnetic collection apparatus for sustainable extraction of polymetallic nodules on the ocean floor.

Our novel method uses electromagnets to extract mineral nodules from the seafloor. This is possible due to the presence of ferromagnetic materials in the nodules including iron, nickel, and cobalt as well as biogenic magnetite (Fe3O4) produced by magnetotactic bacteria found in the low-oxygen microenvironments of the deep sea. This technique minimizes environmental impact by avoiding the creation of large sediment plumes frequently caused by traditional hydraulic suction dredges; therefore allowing for precision harvesting and minimal disturbances to the seabed and surrounding ecosystems.

Polymetallic nodules are comprised of numerous critical minerals that are vital to the production of cutting-edge technologies including EV batteries, solar panels, GPUs, jet engines, and wind turbines; powering industries ranging from energy, aerospace and defense, and manufacturing.

Our robotic mining machines utilize AI to autonomously operate and navigate on the seafloor while combining real-time control and sensing capabilities to adapt to environmental conditions; detecting changes in topography, marine life, and mineral deposits.
